The Amber Hand
琥珀之手
The Amber Hand is one of the names The Hidden King gives his own side. At every ritual, the Patrons each name a side: The Archmother calls hers the Guided Hand, while The Hidden King calls his the Amber Hand, sometimes the Broken Crown, or simply “the Hidden King’s court.” These names belong to the Patrons’ way of speaking; they are not a fixed roster.
This is how The Hidden King speaks of it:
“Bebop continues to bring support to The Amber Hand.”
“比波普继续为琥珀之手提供支持”
Of The Broken Crown, he speaks in other terms:
“The Broken Crown does not fear failure. We learn from it.”
“破碎之冠不惧怕失败。我们从中吸取教训”
Both Patrons will beckon to the same person. Bebop is a case in point: The Hidden King says he brings support to The Amber Hand, and The Archmother says just as readily that he brings support to The Guided Hand.
“Bebop continues to bring support to The Guided Hand.”
“比波普继续为指引之手提供支持”
With Paige it is the other way round. The Archmother says she is anchoring The Hidden King’s court; The Hidden King says she is anchoring The Guided Hand — each points to her as the mainstay of the opposing side.
“Paige is anchoring the Hidden King's court. Kill her and let the rest crumble.”

The two claims stand side by side without contradiction: which side she is counted on depends on which Patron is speaking in that ritual, and on where she stands at the time.
On what they offer Bebop, at least, the two Patrons agree: both hang it on the life of Shelly Fisher. Modern medicine can’t save her, The Hidden King says — but he can.
“Modern medicine can't save Miss Shelly, Bebop… but The Hidden King can. Summon him.”
