Victor's creator

A maker of unknown identity

No one can say whose hands made Victor. He woke up on a mortuary table knowing nothing of his creator, and can only imagine who it might have been.

“When I think about who made me I picture some awkward scientist wishing for a son. Knowing my luck I'm probably a serial killer's walking trophy collection.”

“我一想到是谁造了我,就会想象出某个笨拙的科学家盼着有个儿子。以我的运气,我大概是某个连环杀手的行走战利品陈列柜。”TL

— Victor

As Victor pictures it, it might have been some awkward scientist wishing for a son. He once asked Abrams, too, whether he had ever come across some mad genius who had lost one of his creations.

“Don't suppose one of your cases ever had you bumping into some mad genius that lost one of his creations.”

“你肯定没遇到过哪个天才天才弄丢了自己的发明吧”

— Victor, to Abrams

Abrams knew nothing of the sort — but after laying Victor out, even he couldn’t help asking.

“Who the hell made that guy?”

“那家伙到底是谁造的?”

— Abrams, to Victor

The Doorman shows no mercy, declaring that this maker had no great purpose in mind, only a whim born of hubris.

“You weren't made for great purpose, you were made on a whim to satisfy some scientist's hubris.”

“你并非为伟大的使命而生,而是为了满足某些科学家的狂妄自大而一时兴起而生”

— The Doorman, to Victor
