Jerry the Doomsayer
末日预言家杰瑞
Jerry the Doomsayer is a figure everyone on Park Avenue knows, famous for preaching the end of the world. To Billy, he is as much a New York institution as the Central Park Pigeon Lady.
“You're as much a New York institution as the Doomsayer on Park - hey you think that guy's here?”
“你跟公园大道上那个末日预言家一样，都是纽约的招牌——嘿，你说那家伙会来吗？”TL
Yet this institution finds little favor with Baba. The moment Jerry came up, she said without ceremony that if he knew what was good for him, he had better not show up.
“Jerry? He better not show up if he knows what's good for him.”
“杰瑞？他要是识相就别露面。”TL
What grievance lies between the two of them, no one can say.
