Walter Fairfax

沃尔特·菲尔法克斯

Before Maximilian Fairfax took the helm of Fairfax Industries, the company had another master: a man named Walter, Maximilian’s father.

The name is no stranger to Baba. When Deadman Danny sang the praises of his new boss in front of her, calling him a gentleman, a genius and the hero of our century, she let it pass and asked instead what had become of the man before him.

“Maximillian? What happened to Walter?”

“马克西米利安?沃尔特呢,他怎么了?”TL

— Baba, to Deadman Danny

She asked not after Maximilian but after Walter, as though in her mind the company ought to belong to someone else.

The answer was blunt to the point of coldness.

“He's dead.”

“他死了。”TL

— Deadman Danny, to Baba
“About 10 years after his son took over the company.”

“在他儿子接管公司大约10年后”

— Deadman Danny, to Baba

Walter is no longer among the living; he died about ten years after his son took over the company. How he died, and how the company passed into his son’s hands, no one has ever said.
