Warden's parents

Warden’s parents were born into the Militant Alchemists, a line that for generations had trained for a mystic apocalypse. As the years went by, the warnings of their forebears came little by little to be treated as amusing superstitions. Only when the Astral Gate opened did they realize that all of it was true, and that they were wholly unprepared.

From then on, refusing to let the next generation fall asleep on the job, they trained Warden from the day he was born to be a supernatural killing machine. Warden has sworn to repay that debt.

“I will make up for my parents' failures.”

The weight of it has never left him. Whenever he sinks into despair, these words come back to him.

“I can't fail like my parents did…”

“我不能像我父母那样失败…”TL

His adversaries know it well. The Doorman once threw his father in his face.

“A failure just like your father.”

“跟你父亲一样，是个失败者”

Pocket, on the other hand, urged him to leave the shadows of the past behind.

“Stop living your parent's life and lead your own.”

“别再过父母那样的生活，过你自己的生活吧”
