The Blackmore family is an illustrious house of New York, and its children think highly of themselves, every one. Apollo was born into it; he speaks of his father with respect, and is set on inheriting the family’s heirloom blade.
To outsiders, the family’s children all seem cast from the same mold.
“You Blackmore kids are all the same.”

Celeste once told Apollo he wasn’t like the other Blackmore kids; Apollo answered proudly that of course he wasn’t — he was better than them. She promptly took it back, deciding he was no different from the rest.
“Never mind . You're just like the other Blackmore kids.”

The family name is both a charm and a target. Vyper makes no secret of how much she enjoys slapping around Blackmore kids, and Graves is one of those she means.
“God I love slappin' around Blackmore kids.”

To rivals on the street, the family’s protection does not always hold.
“Your family can't bail you outta this, kid.”

The family shares its name with Blackmore Academy; of how the two are connected, outsiders know little.
