Fathom

Fathom is a notorious monster of the Deep. He always enjoyed cultivating an aura of mystery and fear around himself, and he was content, feasting on wayward sailors and demanding tithes from selkies.

Then the Adversary came, and everything changed. When it came to sowing terror, how could he compete with a genocidal force of nature? The aura that had once chilled the blood lost its luster.

To save himself from fading into obscurity, he resolved to summon the Patrons, so that he would forever hold his throne as the apex predator of the Deep.

Someone has told him to his face that his dreams of conquest are over: the Adversary’s grasp of the Deep will not be broken by the likes of him, a forgotten god with no one to worship him.

“Fathom, your dreams of conquest are over. The Adversary's grasp of The Deep will not be broken by the likes of you... a forgotten god with no one to worship him.”

“海魇，你的征服梦想破灭了。像你这样的人，无法撼动恶魔对深海秘境的掌控……一个无人膜拜、被人遗忘的神”

Those who have seen him never speak of him without a lingering shudder.

“That thing is dangerous…”

“那东西很危险…”TL

“I'm never swimmin' in the ocean again…”

“我再也不去海里游泳了……”

“Slork, as long as people keep talking about you, you're not truly dead.”

“斯洛克，只要大家还在谈论你，你就不算真的死了。”TL
