The Adversary

The Adversary is an evil and menacing force. Viscous regards it as his sworn enemy and is determined to stop it.

“The adversary… he comes for The Deep. And if I don't stop him, he'll come for everything.”

“恶魔… 是来找深海秘境。如果我不阻止他，他会夺走一切”

If he does not stop it, Viscous says, The Adversary will come not only for the Deep but for everything. He also asked Grey Talon whether, should the summoning of the Patrons fail, they could still help stop it. When Venator asked who his adversary was, Viscous corrected him: not an adversary — “The Adversary.”

“No, not an adversary. The Adversary. It's… it's evil. And it's a danger to The Deep.”

Solomon declared it a threat to them all, and stood with Viscous for that very reason; Haze, for her part, asked Viscous to tell her about it afterward, so that they could be prepared for any others to come.

“The Adversary is a threat to us all.”

Not everyone is convinced. Billy says he’ll believe in it when he sees it with his own eyes; Baba, meanwhile, told Viscous he won’t be able to stop The Adversary like this.

“You won't be able to stop the Adversary like this.”
