The Soul-Binding Ritual
灵魂束缚仪式
Eternal shackles in love’s name
Henry and Savannah met in high school, fell in love over their shared passion for stage magic, and married soon after graduation. Neither set of parents looked kindly on the match, but the two were certain they were soulmates, and to make their bond unbreakable they called on a blood mage to perform the Soul-Binding Ritual, tying their souls together for eternity.
The vow was kept, though not in the way anyone expected. An accident on stage took both their lives, and ever since, the two souls of Sinclair have been forced to share a single body, neither able to leave the other. Once they start quarrelling, even who is driving the body is something to fight over.
“We'll be ready to help once we agree who's driving the body (I am)”
“等我们先商定谁来操控这具身体,再准备好帮忙吧(是我)”TL
The love they once shared has given way, little by little, to spite and jealousy; the bond meant to make that love last has become a shackle with no escape.
“You were in love once, but that has given way to spite and jealousy. You don't need a divorce. You need time together. Why don't you stay in our Honeymoon Suite?”
“你们曾经相爱,可如今只剩怨恨与嫉妒。你们不需要离婚,需要的是共处的时间。何不留在我们的蜜月套房?”TL
Both Patrons have set their sights on the couple, and both say the same thing: the pair’s fate and souls are intertwined, and each Patron claims the power to separate them. The Archmother promises that if only they summon her, she can set things right; The Hidden King’s promise is the very same, save that the one to summon is him.
“Sinclair, your fate and souls are intertwined, but the Archmother / The Hidden King can separate them.”
“无双魔术师,你的命运和灵魂紧紧相连,但源祖/隐王可以将他们分开”
