Ixians

The Ixians are a people from Ixia, and they are not human. Yet among themselves they think of their blood in very different ways: some wear it as a mark of pride, others could not care less.

Apollo is the one most fixated on where he comes from. To him a fellow Ixian is a fellow Ixian, even when their blades are crossed.

“I hate to do that to a fellow Ixian.”

“我真不想那样对待我的同胞”

Infernus is every bit as Ixian, yet to him it makes no difference at all.

“Ixian. Human. Chupacabra. Makes no difference to me.”

“伊克斯亚人。人类。卓柏卡布拉。对我来说都一样”

On a young man who has made his origins his whole personality, his verdict is unsparing.

“That guy made being Ixian his whole personality.”

“那家伙把伊克斯亚人的身份当成了他全部的个性”

In Apollo’s eyes, Abrams is a man who forgot where he came from. He has warned this fellow Ixian, too: however decent the others may be, they are not one of us.

“No, they're not. But they're not us either. Never forget that.”

“不，他们不赖。但他们也不是我们。永远不要忘记这一点”

Yamato, for her part, holds Abrams, an Ixian, to be a comrade worth following.

As for the Patrons, both have their eyes on Infernus: The Hidden King calls him “the Ixian” and says he needs to be stopped before it’s too late; The Archmother damns him as “that demon,” a menace. The name each of them gives him shifts with the side Infernus is standing on.

“The Ixian needs to be stopped before it's too late.”

“那个伊克斯亚人必须被及时阻止”

“That demon is a menace…”

“那个恶魔是个威胁……”
