North Ixia

North Ixia is the northern domain of Ixia. Whenever it comes up, people think of Apollo — one has hailed him outright as the crown prince of North Ixia.

“Well if it isn't the crown prince of North Ixia.”

“这不是北伊克斯亚的王子殿下吗”

He flatly denies the title, only to be told “It’s close enough.” To his mind New York is not Ixia; it is merely a tolerable place to stay as a guest.

“It's not Ixia, but it's tolerable.”

“虽然比不上伊克斯亚，但还能接受”

He came all this way only because his father asked him to.

“I'm here because my father asked me to be, not because I want to. But only a fool doesn't make the most out of every opportunity.”

“我来这里是因为我父亲让我来，而不是因为我想来。但只有傻瓜才会错失每一个机会”

Nor does he hide how fiercely he holds to the ways of home: in Ixia, no one would dare talk to him like that.

“If we were in Ixia you wouldn't dare talk to me like that.”

“如果我们在伊克斯亚，你不敢那样跟我说话”

Away from North Ixia, all that standing counts for nothing. Abrams once reminded him of it, without ceremony.

“This ain't North Ixia, kid.”

“孩子，这里不是北伊克斯亚”

Haze has been to this land too, though she says only, coolly, that she once operated here. And in Deadman Danny’s imagination, its fields are just the place for a Fairfax Industries Chimera to go soaring across the sky.

“You can just picture this marvelous machine soaring over the fields of North Ixia”
