Carnifex Rite
The Carnifex Rite is the ceremony the Venators perform before they go on the hunt. Venator holds it in the highest regard: this rite, he believes, is not something to be taken lightly.
“The Carnifex Rite is not something to be taken lightly.”
“刽子手之仪不可掉以轻心。”TL
Before the summoning of the Ritual began, Venator had already performed it. Viscous, who had seen him busy with something earlier, asked what he had been doing, and got an answer of only a few words.
“The carnifex rite.”
“刽子手之礼。”TL
Then he explained that it is a ritual Venators perform only before they go on the hunt.
“It's a ritual that Venators perform before we go on the hunt.”
“那是诛邪者出猎之前举行的一种仪典。”TL
“I've taken The Venator's Oath. My life belongs not to me, but to service.”
“我已立下诛邪者的誓言。我的生命不属于我自己，而属于服务。”TL
