The Conquest of Long Island

The conquest of Long Island is the grand design Rat King can never put out of his mind: to take Long Island, rule the whole island, and then wipe out every human on it. He counts every move he makes as a warm-up for this campaign.

“This is just a warm up for Long Island”

Each time things advance a step, he announces that Long Island is one step closer.

“Long Island is one step closer”

“长岛又近了一步。”TL

His intent is unmistakable, and its target is not Manhattan but everyone on Long Island.

“No, you got me all wrong. I'm not killing everyone in Manhattan. I'm killing everyone on Long Island”

“不，你完全误会我了。我不是要杀曼哈顿的所有人，我是要杀长岛的所有人。”TL

Billy once asked him to his face what he was going to do to the humans on the island, and got an answer as cold as it was blunt.

“Whatcha gonna do to all the humans on Long Island when you take over?”

“你接管长岛之后，打算怎么处置岛上的人类？”TL

“Killing the shit out of 'em.”

“统统宰光。”TL

Billy is willing to help, but he can’t forget the people he knows out there, and he wants none of them getting hurt.

“I know some people there who don't totally suck. If I help you do this I don't want 'em getting hurt.”

Yet when he actually struck Rat King down, all he had left to say was this: leave Long Island alone.

“Leave long island alone you bastard”

Victor doesn’t think the plan will pan out either, and he refuses to be a subject Rat King can push around at will.

“I don't think your Long Island plan's going to pan out.”

“I'm not one of your subjects you can just push around.”

Word travels fast. Even Deadman Danny has heard that Rat King means to run Long Island after the ritual, and he promptly stepped up to pitch Fairfax Industries’ artillery solutions, in case the islanders don’t take kindly to the occupation.

“Have you given any thought on how you're going to protect it? Because Fairfax Industries has many reasonable artillery solutions in the event that people don't take kindly to your occupation.”

“您可曾想过要怎么守住它？菲尔法克斯实业备有许多合理的火炮方案，以防人们对您的占领不太友善。”TL

Rat King turned him down flat: he needs no help from someone like him.
