The Cause

The Cause is the calling to which Warden has pledged his whole life. He has cried out its name as he strikes.

“For The Cause!”

“为了大业！”

To Warden, this cause stands above life itself. He makes no secret that he would give his life for it — only, before he falls, he means to take his opponent’s first.

“I'll give my life for the Cause… but first I'll take yours.”

“我愿为事业献出生命… 但首先我要击败你”

The Cause does not want for funds. Every scrap of spoils Warden picks up, he counts as money to finance the work.

“This will finance the work.”

“这是这项工作的资金”

Its aim is to complete the Ritual. Each time the fighting is pushed forward, to his mind, they are one step closer to the end.

“We're one step closer to completing the ritual.”
