凯登泽
Cadenza is an island, built single-handedly by the founder of Fairfax Industries, that later became the 50th state of the United States.
McGinnis was already working at Fairfax back then. She remembers being just a kid, afraid she was going to lose her job; everyone else was rattled too, and only Fairfax himself was surprisingly calm.
“Honestly, the rest of us were more rattled than he was. I was just a kid freaking out cause I thought I was going to lose my job, but Fairfax was surprisingly calm. I don't think he expected Cadenza to last forever, he just wanted to make the most out of an opportunity before legislation caught up. Plus the guy gets to say he created one the United States.”

Haze once asked her about it, and reckoned that for someone who cares about legacy, founding a state with his own hands is probably worth more than money.
“when you're someone who cares about legacy as much as he does, that's probably more valuable than money.”

In the years since, Fairfax Industries has tried to use the “Fair Tax Bill” to win back its sovereignty over the island before the Supreme Court.
“The Supreme Court is poised to rule on the Fairfax, Fair Tax Bill next session. Will our 50th state remain in the Union? Or will Fairfax Industries successfully regain it's soverignty over the island of Cadenza…only time will tell.”

Deadman Danny once boasted that tooth and claw were never going to hold a candle to Cadenza-made steel.
