Rikers Island

Rikers Island is New York’s famous prison island, home to inmates of every stripe. To the city’s outlaws it is a punishment, and something to talk about besides.

Vyper is an old acquaintance of the place. When Yamato asked her outright about this chapter of her past, she brushed it off as if it had been nothing more than an ordinary hotel stay.

“You did time on Rikers, yes?”

“你在莱克斯岛坐过牢，对吧？”TL

“I have been known on occasion to partake in their amenities.”

In her mouth, life on the island has become a ready figure of speech. She has said a kid would get eaten alive in there, and she relishes the thought of an enemy spending two weeks inside.

“That kid would get eaten alive at Rikers.”

“那孩子要是进了里克斯岛，准会被生吞活剥。”TL

“I'd love to see her spend two weeks in Rikers, it would be a hoot.”

“我真想看看她在雷克岛监狱待两周，那肯定很有趣”

The walls have never really held her. Silver minces no words about it: however many times Vyper breaks out, she will happily keep sending her back to the island.

“You can keep breaking out of Rykers all you want, I'll keep sending your ass back there.”
