The Fall of Mendoza

How a title was earned

The Mendoza Syndicate once ran rampant in Spanish Harlem, until Ivy finally took care of it. Ever since, the streets have called her “the Savior of Spanish Harlem.”

Abrams believes the city owes her a debt for it.

“The city owe you a debt for taking care of Mendoza.”

“你处理了门多萨,整个城市都亏欠你”

— Abrams, to Ivy

Ivy will have none of it.

“I'm not owed anything”

“我不欠任何东西”

— Ivy, to Abrams

The title is sung by many and sneered at by others. She admits she really hates the nickname; all she ever wanted was to make her neighborhood safe.

“I really hate that nickname”

“我真的很讨厌那个外号”

— Ivy, to Abrams

Billy isn’t buying any of it.

“Don't get me started on Ivy. "Savior of Spanish Harlem," you're a gargoyle that punches people in the face. Whaddya want, a medal?”

“别跟我提青藤。“西班牙哈林区的救世主”?你就是个只会朝人脸上挥拳的石像鬼。想要块奖牌吗?”TL

— Billy

Word on the Street

“The savior of Spanish Harlem continues to melt New York's heart as she dispenses vigilante justice dressed for the holidays.”

“东哈勒姆区的救星继续感动着纽约人的心,她身着节日盛装,以私刑的方式伸张正义”

— Newscaster, to Ivy
