The Mayoral Campaign

Carlos Arroyo is running for mayor of New York, and Ivy is his most devoted follower, sparing no effort as she raises money and canvasses for votes all over town.

She even went to Lady Geist, the woman behind the Geist Foundation, to ask her to donate to the campaign.

“Lady Geist, I was wondering: would you be willing to donate to Carlos Arroyo's campaign?”

Lady Geist has never had any interest in investing in politicians. Ivy also hoped to hold a fundraiser at the hotel, but the Doorman turned her away: the hotel must be above politics and will host no campaign fundraisers, though a conversation can be had about community efforts.

“That would depend on the nature of the fundraiser. The Baroness must be above politics. So if this is to raise money for Mr. Arroyo's mayoral campaign, I cannot help you. If it is about his community efforts, a conversation can be had.”

The sharpest criticism comes from Billy, who insists that Arroyo used her to increase the property value of Spanish Harlem, and is now using her to sit in the mayor’s mansion.

“Yeah yeah we all know the stupid story. Lady, he used you to increase the property value of Spanish Harlem, and he's using you sit in the mayors mansion.”

Even when they come to blows, Infernus makes no secret that Carlos still has his vote for mayor.

“If it makes you feel better, Carlos still has my vote for mayor.”
