日食
The Eclipse
日食，是一次改变了世界的天文事件。《纽约神谕报》至今仍以它作为头条的注脚。

在守护神之中，源祖视日食为不容错过的机缘，便以此催促哈雷黛，要她别在临近的天象下虚度良机。
“日食即将来临，哈雷黛…别浪费这个机会…”
“The eclipse is upon us, Holliday… don't squander this opportunity…”
隐王的话里不提日食，却同样盯着她，许诺让她为马科姆讨回公道。两位守护神各开各的价码，催的却是同一个人。
“哈雷黛… 你为马科姆寻求正义，今天你就会伸张正义”
“Holliday… you seek justice for Macomb, and today you shall have it.”
当日食真正开始，源祖宣告的便是完成仪式的时刻。
“日蚀已经开始……现在是完成仪式的时刻”
“The eclipse has begun… now is your time to complete the ritual.”
天象临近时，OSIC（神秘安全调查委员会）向全城发出警告，建议市民在整个天文事件期间留在室内。
“OSIC已向纽约市发出警告，建议市民在天文事件持续期间待在室内”
“The OSIC has issued a warning to the city of New York, recommending that citizens stay indoors for the duration of the celestial event”
并非所有人都能保持镇定。灵瓮也抱怨，一次天体事件就足以让人们失去理智。
“我发誓，一次天体事件就能让人们失去理智…”
“I swear, one celestial event and people lose their minds…”
